I Rewrote My LinkedIn Profile With Claude for Global Recruiters in Korea
I rewrote my LinkedIn profile with Claude to reach global recruiters from Korea. Here is the exact process, step by step, that you can copy.

If you are a foreigner trying to get hired in Korea, your LinkedIn profile is probably working against you without you realizing it.
By the way, LinkedIn is not the main hiring channel in Korea. A lot of local recruiting happens on Saramin, JobKorea and plenty of roles move through referrals or “headhunters”. But for foreign candidates, especially for global companies' Korea offices, startups, and English-friendly teams, LinkedIn is often the first place a global recruiter looks. So it is worth optimizing your profile.
Here is how to structure it for a Korean global recruiter working at English-friendly teams.
Doing the Whole Rewrite With Claude
You might look at your LinkedIn and wonder how to optimize it. This is the part where Claude actually helps, if you run it the right way with the right prompts.
I just built a Claude skill built for exactly this case: a foreigner targeting global, multinational, and English-friendly employers in Korea. A skill is just a set of instructions you hand Claude so it follows a proven process instead of winging it. This particular skills audits your profile and writes the copy in English.

What It Is Best For
Use it if you are a foreigner who is in Korea (or moving there) and aiming at companies that hire foreign talent: a global firm's Seoul office, a multinational, or an English-first startup. It is built around the things those recruiters check first, like your location, your work authorization, and your Korean level, so it puts those where they belong instead of burying them.
It is also genuinely useful when you have solid experience but cannot tell why your profile is not landing. The audit step is thorough on purpose, and an birds-eye-view read of your own profile and positioning is often the thing you cannot do for yourself.
What it is NOT good for is that: it is not the right tool for fully Korean-language local roles, where you would want a Korean profile and platforms like Saramin or JobKorea. And it will not do your thinking about which jobs to target. It needs you to bring real postings.
How To Use It
Download this skill here. If you’re having understanding how to utilize skills within Claude, refer to this help doc here.
Rewrite a LinkedIn profile for foreigners and expats living in (or moving to) Korea who want to be hired by global, multinational, or English-friendly employers with offices in Korea. Runs a sequenced workflow (brutal audit, headline + About, experience-bullet surgery, and Featured + Skills) that makes a foreign candidate easy for a Korea-based recruiter to read, size, and shortlist. Output is recruiter-grade English with the local signals these recruiters check first: location set to Korea, work authorization / visa status, Korean level stated honestly, and local-market context. Use this skill whenever the user is a foreigner trying to get hired in Korea, an expat optimizing their LinkedIn for Korean recruiters, someone targeting a multinational's Seoul office or a global company's Korea team, or anyone who says things like "make my LinkedIn attractive to recruiters in Korea," "I want a job in Korea as a foreigner," or "fix my profile for the Korean market." Trigger even if they don't name this workflow. You need two inputs ready before you start.
Your current LinkedIn saved as a PDF (open your profile, find Resources on the right, choose Save to PDF), and three to five real job posting screenshots you would actually apply to. The postings matter. They are where the skill pulls the exact keywords and proof points your rewrite needs to match. If you are having trouble finding JDs, check out my other article on how to look for appropriate job listings.

Once you enter this into Claude, it will ask whether you are in Korea or relocating (and by when), your visa or work-authorization status, and your Korean level. Claude will ask if your PDF does not make these clear, because the whole rewrite depends on them.
Work through it one step at a time and react to each step before moving on, and fill in the blanks when Claude prompts you to.
The Four Steps
It runs as four short steps, not one giant prompt, which is what keeps the output usable:
- The audit. Claude reads your LinkedIn profile as a recruiter and gives you suggestions.
- Headline and About. It rewrites both to lead with your role and level, then summarizes your current location, visa, and Korean.
- Experience bullets. It reshapes each bullet into a real result with a number. Where it does not have your number, it marks [METRIC NEEDED] instead of making one up, so you go fill those in yourself.
- Featured and Skills. It tells you what to pin so you match the postings and show up in recruiter searches.
Two limits worth knowing. Claude will not invent your metrics or your visa facts, by design, so you still have to supply the real numbers. You also have to proof-read the AI generated work so you sound human. Always use AI to enhance, not replace your writing.

Where to Start
Make sure you proof-read all the data generated by LLMs before you commit to any public facing changes in your profile.
Also, if you want to create a LinkedIn-friendly headshot, feel free to take a look at my prompt here which goes over how to create one without going to a studio.
Update your profile this week, even just the basics, and you will be readable to the recruiters who are actually looking.
